The Kegmenter is a 13.2 gallon (50 liter) 304 stainless keg with a 4” diameter tri clover lid on the top. Ball lock fittings with dip tubes are built into the lid so you can use this as either a large ball lock keg or a 10 gallon fermenter. The beer dip tube features a silicone hose and floating pick up ball, to collect the clearest beer from the top of the keg.

The Kegmenter features a 50 PSI rating (with an included lid red relief valve set at 35 PSI) so it can be used as a keg or as a pressurized fermenter if desired.  The 4” diameter lid makes it easy to clean out, and adds the ability to add dry hops and other additives either during a ferment or after kegging. The relief valve is standard Corny style, and can be swapped with other corny compatible valve with different pressure ratings.

Convert a Kegmenter into a 10 gallon capacity flame fired or electric distilling unit with the optional 4" Tri-Clover Adapter (item Z49), 2" Tri-Clover Clamp (item Z57) and Kegland Pot Still Condenser  (item B78).  To make the Kegmenter electric, drill a 32mm hole near the bottom and install our 1600 Watt Heating Element, item X97.

The ability to hold up to 50 PSI also means the Kegmenter can be used with an adjustable pressure relief valve to naturally carbonate in the keg,  or to push beer out when the ferment is done with C02, either into smaller kegs, a filter, or even dispense from the fermenter if desired. 23” tall, 17” wide.

Note: The Kegmenter we sell includes the upgraded Ball Lock Post Lid with floating beer pick up tube, and does not come with the flat lid pictured in the first part of the video. It can be used right out of the box as a ball lock keg,

Nice Keg!

Review by Dennis on 12/17/2016

Just received my keg today and I must say I'm impressed. The lid assembly is top notch. Tri-Clover type sanitary fittings cannot be beat .... you know that this lid is going to seal tight without a doubt!

So far, very impressed!

I am currently in the midst of my first batch with this fermentor but so far, I really couldn't be happier. For one thing, I know my beer is not being subjected to any light, so that makes me happy. Second, it is certainly airtight. The Tri-Clamp fittings at the top are top notch and secure. Thirdly, the top fittings allow me to take a sample of my creation anytime I want without fear of contaminating my brew! The only drawback is that once filled, this fermentor is heavy, and not very mobile. Make sure to have a helper assist in placing this guy wherever you are fermenting, and then leave it there until you transfer out of it!!! (Or start lifting REAL weights and not 12-16oz at a time....) I would highly recommend this if you are serious about fermenting good beer at home. Plus your friends will think you are pretty awesome too!

Looks Great, Feels Great

Review by Kevin W. on 1/23/2018

The keg and welding is of high quality, I 10 gallons of NEIPA in right now carbonating... i’ll know I a couple of days how the keg held up to the carbonation task, and how well it dispenses? I will follow up! Cheers

Dual use - great quality

Review by Tom C. on 2/11/2019

This works great as both a serving vessel as well as a fermentor. I bought a 4" to 1.5" tri-clamp reducer for a better blow-off valve. Works great!

Well made

Review by Jeff Miles on 7/7/2020

The fermenter is well made and much easier to clean than sanke kegs that I had been previously using. I will likely get another in the near future. The still option is cool if that is what you are in to.

Q: can the 13.2 gallon kegmenter be used as a boil kettle for a 10 gallon batch?

A: It could be used as a brew kettle, but the 4" hole on top won't give you much room to stir and add ingredients.

Q: Will this fit in a standard chest freezer?

A: It is 22" tall and 17" wide. Be sure to allow for 4" above the keg to allow for your ball lock fittings if you are dispensing from the chest freezer.

Q: Is there an adapter to connect the ball locks to a 1/2 mpt quick connect?

A: We do not have such an adapter.

Q: Is the bottom of this keg flat or curved?

A: Curved inwards

Q: If I wanted to use this as both a fermenter at times but at other times as a serving keg, can I get a replacement dip tube to adjust the length of one without having to deal with one permanently cut dip tube? How long is it compared to a standard dip tube

A: The liquid dip tube in this item is 19.75 inches long. A standard 5 gallon dip tube is 23.25 inches. The width is standard, so any other modified dip tube you wanted to swap out will fit, widthwise.
