Pure food grade platinum cured silicone tubing can withstand temperatures of 350 degrees F. More flexible than thermoplastic tubing, and a bit easier to see through. Ideal for piping hot wort into wort chillers. This tubing is 3/8" in interior diameter, and has a 5/8" exterior diameter. Maximum pressure 5 psi, so this tubing is not for use in pressurized setups, like draft beer dispensing.

Large ID
This tubing is larger than 3/8 id and will not work without a good clamp. After calling with my concern the tubing was replaced with another tubing that is actually 3/8 id. The service was very good and fast at correcting the issue. That is why I rated a 5. The tubing would be a 1 because it is the wrong size.
Best Tubing Ever
I agree with the other reviewers, this tubing is really easy to work with and it doesn't kink like some of the other thin walled tubing. It's worth paying a little more.
Works great!
The 3/8” silicone tubing fit perfectly over a 1/2” stainless steel siphon tube. I was able to stick a funnel in the other end and pour boiling water through the assembly to sterilize it. It was very easy to handle, much easier than the food grade plastic tubing that I used before, and the siphon was easy to start. The outer diameter of the tube just fit into the opening of a Grolsch-style bottle. I was able to bottle an entire 10 gallon batch with no spillage. The interior diameter of this tubing is a bit larger than it’s stated size. I first ordered the 1/2” silicone tubing. It was really about 9/16” and would have required a clamp for the 1/2” stainless steel pipe and the outer diameter would not fit in the bottle neck. The 3/8” tube is what you want if you want a 1/2” i.d.
The ONLY tubing to use!
This stuff is beautiful! I can't believe I ever fooled around with vinyl tubing...or for that matter thermoplastic tubing. This tubing is extremely flexible as well as heat resistant. It easily connects to hose barbs. I will NEVER use anything else! This stuff is the BEST!
