This Thermoplastic tubing can withstand temperatures of 275 degrees F., and is food grade. Ideal for piping hot wort into wort chillers. This tubing is 3/8" in interior diameter, and has a 5/8" diameter exterior.
This hard-to-crush tubing is perfect for connecting domed false bottoms in cooler mash tuns to our S37 3/8" barbed adapter (which screws into our R45 KettleValve). When ordering for a false bottom, you generally only need to order 1'.
Sold per foot, when you enter a quantity of 5, for example, you will get one five foot length. Maximum continuous length is 50' feet, for example, if you order a quantity of 55, you will get one 50' roll and one 5' section.

Q: I have seen piping for false bottoms in stainless steel rather than thermoplastic and am wondering what the pros/cons of each would be. Does the tubing need to be replaced periodically? Does it retain taste/odor from batch to batch?
A: Thermoplastic tubing is long lived, but will probably have to be replaced every few years. It does not retain much of an odor between batch to batch, not enough to affect the flavor of the wort.

Tubing for Mash tun.
Works very well to replace my original tubing to my false bottom in my Igloo Cooler. Still feels firm even when hot.
