Nice Product

Review by Paul on 3/8/2022

The M44 turned out to be a strong steady performer. I pitched directly into the fermenter at 65 deg. It took about day and a half to get started and two days to really get going. It finished in six days. A little slower than what I'm used to, but the measured attenuation was 81.8%, Very happy with that, and would use this yeast again.

Excellent yeast

excellent yeast. Brewed an ipa og. 1.093. Finished at 1.004 at 64 for 4 days, increased 1 degree each day until finished. I'm done with liquid yeast, building starters, questionable handling, never seem to get repeatable results Neutral yeast flavor, lets the hops shine! Forget about fussing with liquid yeast

Review by John Faustini on 2/15/2020

I was a liquid yeast snob for decades. With all the work (and cost) that goes into brewing a 5-gallon batch of homebrew, who wants to risk an unsatisfactory result by using an inferior yeast? But since I tried Mangrove Jack's about a year ago, I am a convert. Very clean, very reliable, with high attenuation and flocculation. Just as good as Wyeast 1056 (better, in fact) and way less hassle to use! Stores better & takes less space, and when you're ready to brew you can just rehydrate in 6-8 oz of 85F water for 15-20 min, or just sprinkle it on your prepared wort if you're lazy (I've done the latter with fine results). Of course, you'll still want to make a starter for high-gravity brews. MJ's M44 U.S. West Coast Ale Yeast is my new go-to yeast.

Great

I normally use 05 exclusively but decided to "Branch out". Great attenuation and wonderful taste for IPAs. I will use again in the future.

No problem yeast

Review by George Cantwell on 3/10/2019

Used this as a back up for a failed liquid yeas supplied with the kit. Worked exactly as it should resulting in a great tasting beer.
