Honey and wheat have always gone well together. Our Honey Wheat kit combines the aromatic flavor of wild blackberry honey with the soft flavor of wheat. The result is a refreshing wheat beer with real flavor, as it not only has the soft maltiness of wheat, but also the crisp flavor of blackberry honey, accented by selected imported hops. A wheat beer for those who like a refreshing wheat beer, but want a little more taste (and freshness) than available in standard micro brewed wheat offerings. Alcohol: 5%, IBU's 32.

Includes 8 lbs. of our blended wheat extract and blackberry honey, 125 ml of liquid wheat beer yeast, flavoring and aromatic hops, and corn sugar for carbonation. Makes 5 gallons with a starting gravity of at least 1.052. Ease of Brewing: Beginner

New Girlfriend

Review by Jeremiah on 1/12/2021

I’ve been home brewing for 7 years, and I usually do the full process of mashing, lautering, boiling, fermenting, kegging, and my favorite part: drinking! But I just started dating this new girl who isn’t much into beer, let alone the crazy IPAs and stouts that I usually make. So I bought this kit. Super simple, comes with directions, skips mashing and lautering. It was a really simple and easy way for me to share my brewing passion with my girlfriend without boring her over calculations and starch conversions lol. She had fun, I had fun, and we’ve drank about half of the keg so far! It’s a really good beer too! Great for beginners! Super easy for experts!

Honey Wheat Kit

Review by Don on 5/24/2017

I have just had a couple after aging 5 weeks. A little on the bitter side for me but overall pretty good. I will see how the next few go. I could not really taste any of the honey flavor, maybe needs a bit more honey in it

Not What I expected

Review by Jonathan on 10/19/2014

I had a few problems with this beer, but not on the brewing side. First the yeast is an American wheat yeast and was TWO months past Wyeast's printed date. The extract came in an unbranded clear plastic pouch, not the Williams one. The color of the extract was dark and turned out not the freshest LME. There was another pouch for the Honey and that is where I can start to compliment the beer itself. After everything was said and done, I enjoyed a real nice flavor from the blackberry honey. I made a starter, don't like stressing the yeast and fermented at 63. Three weeks in primary and 6 weeks warm condition to carb and get out that old extract funk. 1-2 Weeks cold. It is a good example of American Wheat with a slightly tart and honeycomb medley. It was best at the 2 week mark of cold conditioning. Response from William's: The date codes printed on Wyeast packs are the date the yeast was manufactured, not expiration dates.

The BEST beer ever

Review by vickie on 9/24/2014

I loved the full bodied flavor of this beer. Easy to brew and tastes wonderful. I will be ordering this kit again. I love wheat beer and this is one of the best beers I have tasted. Careful with boil overs. Heat up slowly. I will be ordering this kit again.
