Unlike chips or powder, these ½" diameter medium toast oak cubes can easily be added and removed from beer or wine. Unlike standard oak cubes, which average an inch in diameter or more, these smaller ½" diameter cubes fit in wine and beer bottles.This gives you the unique ability to individually dose each bottle of wine or beer with different oak levels at bottling time.
Use 2 to 4 cubes per bottle at bottling, or add 1 to 2 ounces to your secondary fermenter. Leave the cubes in contact with beer for at least 20 days and in contact with wine for at least 60 days to impart their character. Produced from French oak which has a milder and more vanilla character than American oak.
