The outer barrier is extruded to precise tolerances, and seals well when used with various John Guest, DuoTight or other push in fittings. The outer barrier gives the tubing excellent kink resistance so the line is able to bend around a tight radius without kinking. The inner barrier is made from a proprietary polymer that has excellent gas barrier, protecting your beer from oxidation. The EVABarrier inner lining is so smooth that it harder for bacteria and beer film to build up on the inner walls. So your beer will stay fresher for longer and not loose carbonation like non barrier tubing, and the tubing is less likely to harbor bacteria.
5/32" inner diameter, 5/16" outer diameter. 5/32" is provides high restriction in beer lines that are 6' long or shorter, and helps control foaming. Rated to withstand 100 PSI.
Important: This tubing is designed to be used with DuoTight Connectors (see at right). With a little effort, you can get it to fit over 3/16" hose barbs, although not 1/4" hose barbs. To do this, soak the end of the tubing in boiling water for 20 seconds, and then press it on the barb when it is soft. To heat water, put a coffee cup full of water in a microwave for 6 minutes.
This tubing has approximately 2.8 pounds of resistance per foot. What does this mean? It means if you have a 4' beer line of this tubing, you have a total of 11.2 pounds of resistance in the line. Generally, this means setting your PSI on your regulator to the same 11 PSI figure will result in good beer flow, although setting it lower (say 8 PSI or so) in some instances (if the keg is used slowly over a long time) might be preferable to avoid adding carbonation to beer sitting in a keg.

Q: New to the duotight world. I have a question about using the 4mm duotight on a SANKE adapter (beer / gas) nuts. When I disconnect the nuts from the keys do I need to undo the hose, or is it okay to spin the nut on the hose?
A: The beauty of the Duotight connectors is the ease of disconnecting the EVABarrier tubing. I recommend removing the tubing before unscrewing the adapter. All you need to do to remove the tubing, just push the tubing into the adapter, then hold down the ring where the tubing goes into the adapter and pull the tubing out. If you plan on removing and installing the tubing often, you will want to put a small amount of Keg Lube (D52) on the outside of the tubing to aid assembly and disassembly.

Q: Will Star San (1 oz/gal solution) degrade this tubing if it sits in these lines for a prolonged period of time, or will it not do so the same way it can to vinyl tubing?
A: EvaBarrier tubing should be very resistent to diluted Star San.

Q: The ID for 4mm line is a smaller diameter then 3/16. Why does it have a lower flow resistance? 3/16 = 3.0 lbs/ft Your description states: 4mm or 5/32 = 2.8 lbs/ft
A: The 4mm inner diameter EVA barrier tubing has approximately of 2.8 pounds of resistance per foot. The 5mm inner diameter EVA barrier tubing has approximately one pound of resistance per foot.

Q: Can this be used for both gas & liquid connections? Or should I use item # Z92 I want to use a line with the most O2 barrier protection as possible. So thinking this one would have a thicker barrier. Just not sure if its designed for the gas side
A: It can be used for either side, and will flow plenty of gas for a typical home draft system.

Super quality, easy to use, and 1 size works for gas and beer
I switched my entire system to use only 4mmx8mm EVABarrier tubing and DuoTight connectors...1 of the best decisions I've ever made! The 4x8 tubing works for both gas and liquid lines, they're gas impermeable, and they work perfectly for everything I do: kegging, pressure fermenting, pressure bottling, etc. The tubing is flexible for all use cases, but it's also stiff enough so it can't kink. If you need to fit tubing to a tight barb fitting, just put the end of the tubing into boiling water to soften it, push onto the barb, and it seals completely as it cools. Combined with DuoTight connectors, it not only provides superior sealing, it also allows repeated quick connecting/disconnecting. Add a gas distribution block with shutoff valves, and you have a superior system than using multiple regulators, especially if you add inline KegLand regulators to lines where needed. I'm exceptionally happy using EVABarrier tubing and DuoTight connectors for my KegLand counter pressure bottle filler.
Required
I had tried to set up a spunding valve with DuoTight fittings on a keg. I used some vinyl tubing I had laying around. It leaked horribly. I bit the bullet and bought this EVABarrier tubing and like magic there were no leaks. If you want to use the duotight fittings, you need to buy this tubing.
Great tubing
I've been using this for both beer and gas lines and its great. For my dual tap kegerator I only needed about 5ft of tubing and with 12-13psi on the kegs its pouring great. I've also been using it whenever I need to connect anything to the keg. Great stuff!
Easy to use and great results
I purchased this to replace the 11 ft lines of standard beer line I had been using. I am so happy with it I won't ever be switching back. The duotight fittings are simple to use and I have had no issues with them to date. Highly recommend making the switch to this product.
Great Beer Line Tubing
Reasonably flexible with no plastic taste. I've only been using this for a few weeks, but so far, so good. The 4mm (5/32") size allows shorter line lengths than the 3/16 PVC tubing I was using. Connecting the tubing with DuoTight fittings is quick and easy.
