If you are looking to an alternative to cutting tubing and pressing it over hose barbs with hose clamps, with the resultant difficulty in dissassembly, you might find the DuoTight System interesting. Based on double O ring sealed push in fittings, DuoTight allows easy repeated hose attachment and removal, as well as EVABarrier lined odorless tubing that costs no more than economy PCV tubing.
DuoTight features a patented dual O ring sealing system using high quality EPDM o-rings. The double o-ring means DuoTight have twice the sealing surface surface when compared with other push in fittings. This makes DuoTight even more reliable and reduces the chance of a leak. The double o-ring system also means that you can bend the hose with much tighter radius without causing leaking issues.
Clamps are not needed. To use the DuoTight System, simply cut your EVABarrier tubing to length (cut tubing square for best results, not at an angle), and push into the DuoTight fitting. To remove the tubing, simply press back on the sealing flange and pull the hose out. EVABarrier Hose and DuoTight fittings are rated up to 100 PSI.

Q: My shanks are all 7/8, which I thought was standard. Do these fittings come in a size for my shanks?
A: Yes, these fit 7/8" outer diameter threaded shanks.

Q: Do these require teflon tape around the male shank thread for a good seal?
A: No, hand tighten these, and then tighten 1/4 a turn more with a wrench.

Q: Is this really an 8mm fitting? Everywhere else I see this part listed as 9mm. Will it definitely fit 8mm OD tubing?

A: Yes it will. You will still need to use the shank nipple washer (Q93) to prevent leaking.
Worked a charm
Got a new kegerator and needed some of these connectors, Williams shipped quickly and all worked perfectly on my sankey.
Works well.
I did a retrofit to a friends kegerator. During the Williams tower sale, a friend got the dual tap tower with the flow control taps. I rigged it up for them. I wasn't expecting the tubing to not fit over the tailpieces I had, so we had to shift gears and get these to make life easy. Glad I did, almost has be thinking of converting my systems over to this.... Next build I do I'll get the DuoTight system components. I am a big fan of the push to connect systems. I use 1/4" tubing and push connect on my keezer and kegerator gas lines.
