A siphon starter for 5 and 6½ gallon carboys. Includes a plunger tube with sealing synthetic food grade cup (to fit our 3/8" interior diameter transfer tubing). Just pull the plunger tube back, install transfer tubing on the curved end, place in a full carboy, and press the plunger forward to start a siphon. A great aid for siphoning from carboys. Siphon tubing not included, order separately below. 22” long, 1” diameter.

Easiest siphon ever

Review by BRIAN H. on 9/16/2005

Pros: Between spilling water all over the floor, placing not so sterile fingers at the end of the hose, sore fingers from pinching the hose, and multiple attempts, racking the beer was frustrating to say the least. The auto siphon was so easy to use & so effective, I wish I had purchased it sooner. This helped revive my enthusiasm for homebrewing.

Cons: None yet.

A carboy's best friend

Review by Stephen F. on 10/29/2005

Pros: I used my last auto siphon very effctively to rack each batch of mead I made. (never spilled a drop of golden goodness) I highly recommend this to anyone who is using a glass carboy for wine, beer or mead.

Cons: none

No good seal

Review by Edward V. on 10/28/2006

Pros: Has the potential to be a good siphon

Cons: Seal was not there at all, I tried it in a carboy with sanitizer and the liguid just ran part the rubber seal and up the main tube, not up the siphone hose

Simple to use

Review by Greg W. on 2/21/2007

Pros: Sounds like the guy below me got one with a defective gasket. Mine worked great, unfortunately I have to get another one. Easy to strip down and clean.

Cons: DO NOT SANITIZE WITH GRAIN ALCOHOL! Who would have thought Everclear© would cause the clear plastic to self destruct? It made a crinkling noise and shattered like tempered glass. Much profanity ensued.
