This is a hydrotest required by law on any cylinder we accept for exchange that was not originally purchased from William's Brewing. If your cylinder has a hydrotest stamped on it that is 5 years old or older, we require you purchase this test so we can pay to recertify the empty cylinder you bring in for exchange. See the pictures for samples of what a hydrotest looks like on your cylinder, and how to spot them.
For example, a hydrotest stamp of 04/24 means the tank was last tested in April of 2024, and is good to go until April 2029.
If your exchange cylinder was provided by William's Brewing, you do not need to pay for a hydrotest, even if it is past date!
Your empty exchange cylinder must have a hydrotest within the last 5 years to avoid paying this charge if you did not initially purchase your tank from William's.
