Special Belgian (previously known as Special B) is the darkest of the Belgian crystal malts. It will impart a heavy caramel taste and is often credited with the raisin-like flavors of some Belgian ales. Use 5 to 15% in the mash. In crushed form, so you do not need to mill it before using.

I love this stuff
I add 12 to 20% in bourbon mash to add complexity. I initially bought it as a substitute for Breiss Extra Special Malt. Not at all the same, but every bit as tasty...
Gotta have
I brew a lot of Belgian beer, and the Special B is a must have (.25lb per batch) for color and flavor. As with all Wiliam's products I have experienced so far, this hasn't let me down.
