Helps prevent renewed fermentation in wine (generally sweeter wines) when used in conjuction with sulfites (sodium bisulfite or campden tablets). It will not stop a renewed fermentation, but can discourage one from starting. 1 level teaspoon equals 1.3 to 1.8 grams (best to use a scale). Usually used at the rate of 1 gram per gallon to stabilize a sweet wine.
