Oak Aging

All spirits when they come out of the still are clear, and some like Vodka and Gin stay that way. However, if you want authentic Bourbon Whiskey, Dark Rum or Tequilla, you must age the spirit in contact with charred or toasted wood for 3 months to a year or longer. As an economical alternative to expensive barrels, we sell toasted and charred woods that impart authentic barrel aged flavor to your spirit in a glass jar or bottle.
If you are making Bourbon, Whiskey, Rum, or aged Tequilla, using charred oak is the preferred method of oak aging. Toasted oak sticks or cubes are also useful for a different spirit taste.
