Cannot really clamp down to 5/16"
This clamp can maybe clamp down to a 1/2" diameter (3/16" ID x 7/16" OD beverage tube over 1/4" ball lock barb), but even then it distorts badly (no longer round) and the worm gear starts slipping if you try to tighten further. The clamp itself is stamped 3/8" x 7/8", but it is 5/16" wide, so perhaps the description of "5/16" minimum by 7/8" maximum interior diameter" is in error? In any case, do yourself a favor and use a smaller diameter clamp for attaching beverage and gas tubing. Otherwise clamp is good quality.
Good hose clamps
Good hose clamps. Worked fine to secure the new snap-lock fittings to the silicone tubing I just got. I'd give them 5 stars if they were the style that has the wider solid band with rounded edges ( they seem to bite into hoses less ) either way, these are just fine and Ill order more as needed.
