Do you need a pump to transfer your fermented beer or wine? Leave your fermenter on the ground and save your back with the KegLand Transfer Pump. This 12 volt pump is self priming, and will pull beer or wine out of a fermenter into a secondary or your keg. It has a maximum flow of 1.2 gallons per minute, and will lift fluids up to 12½' (although the higher the lift, the less gallons per minute). Can generate up to 90 PSI pressure and 5" of suction. A 110 volt transformer is included so you can plug this in anywhere.
It features 3/8" hose barbs for attaching 3/8" interior diameter tubing (our item E04, sold per foot), and a built in switch on the cord for easy access. Hose clamps are generally not needed, as the barbs securely grip 3/8" interior diameter tubing. Flexible vibration dampening feet with screw holes let you mount this without worrying about excess rattling. The pump body is 6½" long, 3" wide, with an overall power cord length of 7'. It will transfer 5 gallons is 3 minutes and 40 seconds.
Need a complete siphon solution? See our item L35 Kegland Transfer Pump Kit.
Not for hot wort: recommended maximum fluid temperature is 135° F. Not for solutions with debris like seeds, whole hop particles, or grape skins which can clog the pump.

Not good for lagers
I can't recommend this item for its advertised purpose of beer transfer. I move beer from the fermenter to kegs using gravity but often have a problem getting the last gallon out due to head-of-pressure issues, so this seemed like a great solution. However, the pump action whipped the beer into foam. The beer was a Helles designed to have great head retention, and transfer was at ~50 °F, at which temperature new beer has plenty of dissolved CO2. I was left with an overflowing keg full of dense, rocky foam that wasn't going away, and at least 2 gallons left in the fermenter, worse than the problem I was trying to fix. Maybe it would be OK for ales at around 70 °F that have less CO2, but I'm not going to try the experiment. It works fine for non-carbonated liquids so I'll be using it to pump line cleaner from now on.
Great Product
Grabbed a KegLand transfer pump when I saw it on sale at Williams. Wish I had bought one of these sooner! Does a fantastic job - volume is more than I expected. Per other reviews, this is a great alternative to lifting fermenters and kegs. Also super easy to clean.
Works well
Requires no priming, and transfers my beer and wine quickly between carboys. Easier than lifting a 5 gallon carboy.
