The problem with many commercial red beers is that they are too bland, maybe with a nice caramelized malt flavor and reddish amber color, but lacking much in the way of hop character. Our Red Ale features a deep amber-red color balanced with selected flavoring and aromatic hops. This kit represents the emerging West Coast style of red ales, which are typically more hoppy and malty than many mass-market commercial red beers. Alcohol: 4.0%, IBU's 36.
Includes 7 lbs. of our blended malt extract, flavoring and aromatic hops, 125 ml of liquid ale yeast, and corn sugar for carbonation. Makes 5 gallons with a starting gravity of at least 1.044. Ease of Brewing: Beginner

Q: I bought this kit and it came with Wyeast 1272 American Ale yeast. I know there is Red Ale Yeast so I just want to check and make sure I got the right yeast. Thanks
A: Yes, our taste tests found 1272 the best overall for this kit.

My long time favorite
Have been brewing Red Ale for over 10 years. This is a standard at my home. At my son’s wedding people asked for the recipe! Told them it was from Williams Brewing. Keep making great recipes.
Just perfect
If you are a fan of red ales this is perfect. Not too bitter and not too weak. Brews up very easy. Couldn't be happier.
AWESOME
This was a great kit easy to make and the taste was great. I will order this again, my friends even enjoyed it alot
Easy to brew and fun to make
This beer is exactly what it states it is. Just remember to smack the yeast pack early. This was my first time with a smack pack and I started on brew day only to realize I would now have to wait another week cause I didn't activate the yeast. Beer came out really good and my friends took so many growlers I didn't get much for me.
