Our Wort Chiller will cool up to 5 gallons of boiling wort to pitching temperature in 20 to 45 minutes, depending on the number of gallons boiled and tap water temperature. Quick wort cooling means the wort can be pitched with yeast as soon as possible, reducing the time it takes for fermentation, with its bacteria-shielding C02 gas, to begin. Sanitizing our Chiller is simple - just immerse in your boiling wort after you turn off the heat.

Made of soft, pure copper tubing, our Wort Chiller is adjustable by bending to fit virtually any 5 gallon or larger brewing pot. Featuring 10" tall inlet and outlet pipes, our Wort Chiller will fit inside all the brewing pots we sell. This allows you to partially close the lid during cooling, reducing the danger of airborne bacterial infection.

Our Wort Chiller uses standard 3/8" interior diameter tubing, and includes a female hose fitting for attaching to a hose thread faucet. It can be easily adapted to kitchen faucets with the purchase of our Screw-On Adapter or Snap-Lock Adapters (put in cart to see these items).  Will cool 5 gallons of wort to 80° F. or less in 20 to 30 minutes, depending on tap water temperature.

William’s Wort Chiller includes a 27’ copper coiling coil, 10’ of 3/8” clear vinyl tubing (cut it to the lengths you prefer), 3 hose clamps, and a nylon female hose fitting connector to fit a standard outdoor faucet. 12” high, 9 1/2” diameter when assembled.  Pictured boiling pot is not included.

Great Chiller, just a little short for big batches
Got this for my 5 gallon pot and it worked great. Ramped up to the 8 gallon and we had to jerry rig some coat hangers to keep the chiller connection from being submerged. Otherwise, great device for starting out and can be used for pre-chilling a counter-flow in the future.

Great Chiller
I recently picked up one of these when it was on sale. That made it all the sweeter. I've seen shorter versions locally that cost even more. That said, this chiller works great in my 5 gal pot. I've used it twice now to cool wort down to 80 in about 15 min. SO much easier than an ice bath that required more than 20lbs of ice. Note, I still fill the sink with ice water, but just with the ice from my ice maker.

Time saver
This product is such an huge time saver. No more dealing with a sink full of ice cubes. Saves me about 45 minutes per batch and is a must have.

1st Use of Wort Chiller
Never have utilized a wort chiller before and have been brewing with my Dad for years. Just completed my first batch and I will never brew without this again! It chilled much faster than the old sink and ice water method. I was very impressed. Had to pick up a sink to garden hose adapter but was not a big deal. Worked great!

Saves Time!
The product works just like it supposed to. Cools a 5 gallon of wort in 15 to 20 minutes. Say goodbye to packing the kitchen sink with ice. Only issues I had with the chiller is didn't fit well in my 7 gallon pot without repending the coils to make it reach over the pot. Also, make sure you measure how much vinyl tubing you need. The ten feet of tubing supplied with the chiller was not enough for my set up, and so I ended up getting an addition 20 ft from the local hardware store. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who feels comfortable with homebrewing and wants to save a tremendous amount of time waiting on your wort to chill. I give it 4 out 5 stars just because of the rework I had to do to make it fit in my pot.

Going to set this up in tandem with another chiller. Yours would go in to a bucket of ice water to pre chill my tap water. Need a connector from the exhaust tube of your coil to screw into my second coil. Do you carry one?
We do not have this piece, although the copper tube our chiller is made of has a 3/8" outer diameter.

Will the hose fit a normal kitchen sink faucet or is an additional attachment needed?
For use on an indoor faucet the adapter, part E18 is required.
