Q: Can this be used in a closed transfer from fermenter to keg? Or is it advised to first transfer to keg through standard diptube and THEN install this?

A: If you mean if you can fill a keg with this attached to one keg from another keg or from a fermenter, this should be possible.

Q: Can I run the C02 through the long "liquid" pickup dip tube (to more quickly carbonate the keg from the bottom) and attaching the Top Draw to the other "gas" connection. Is this feasible? (I understanding is that the two posts are slightly different.)

A: Yes, although the gas fitting on your keg will not accept the black beer ball lock female fitting. To remedy this, we have just come out with a Cornelius-keg compatible male post that is universal, and accepts both grey gas ball locks and black beer ball locks. The item number is Z83.

Q: How is this cleaned?

A: Rinse the keg after use, including running warm water (or occasionally sanitizer) down the beer side to flush out the silicone hose.

Q: Will it work with 2.5 gallon kegs?

A: Yes, you will have to cut the silicone tubing down to size.
