A: We do not do custom work, although you could do this with a local machine shop.

Q: When using this only as a fermenter, how do I ensure that I don't pick up yeast when transferring to another vessel?

A: You can use a tubing cutter and cut off the bottom 1/2" of the pick up tube.

Q: Just wondering as a fermentor... im curious about cleaning it? Is it easy to see inside to make sure it is clean? on all surfaces inside?

A: It has a 4" round lid, so you can put your hand inside to clean. A flashlight helps.

Q: Would this be suitable for fermenting a 5 gallon batch or is it too big?

A: It is a bit large for a 5 gallon batch, but if you purge it with C02 before adding the wort it should work fine.
