Q: I managed to loose the rubber covering for one of the bolts that allows the mash container to sit on the boil kettle and now it doesn't sit evenly. Do you know if there is a way to purchase a new one or set of these?

A: These silicone covers are food grade and rated to 240 F. although we originally designed them just to protect the boiler during shipping from the basket supports. What we do here is remove all 4 before brewing. We will send you one at no charge on Monday.

Q: Have you tried a no sparge full volume mash with this yet? Would the internal volume allow for this?

A: We have not tried this yet, the internal volume is 7½ gallons, so it should be easily done, particularly with smaller grain bills. You might not get as much efficiency doing it this way versus pulling the basket up and adding sparge water.

Q: Are you able to pick up and move the boiler via the handles when full?

A: We do not recommend this, as there is always the chance hot liquid will spill and scald.

Q: Just got my M&B today. Did a water test and found that the boil happens around 200F (I'm @5300ft) - should I set this as the target boil temp and let it cycle, or should I set it at 205F forcing the element to be 'on' for the full boil duration?

A: You want the element always on during the boil, so we recommend setting it at 210° F. for the boil duration. 205° F. might not be high enough to avoid triggering the differential during the boil.

Q: What are the internal dimensions of the boiler? I'm curious if my current immersion chiller will fit. Thanks

A: 11.5 inches across, 19 inches deep.
