You can make a fine Kristallweizen with this

I used this malt to make two batches of Kristallweizen, a clear, Pilsener-like wheat beer of Bavaria http://www.germanbeerinstitute.com/Kristallweizen.html I also used Wyeast 3056 Bavarian wheat yeast and some Pilsener-style hops. It turned out very clear, beautiful golden, with a subtle and excellent flavor. (A little fining helps clear it even more.) There is nothing better on hot days. With 6 lbs. malt the beer was very subtle (probably more authentically German); with 8 lbs. a little bolder and more to American taste.

I use this often in my home brews as it helps with head retetion with my high maltede beers. It has never failed me yet. It is always fresh and I light the taste it give my lager beers.

Pros: I used this for a....well, let's call it a Double Hefeweizen, and it worked great. I got the higher OG I wanted, and it still kept that pale, golden color I was looking for. This is a great option if you want to avoid the drama that wheat brings to an all-grain batch, too.
