Works Great

I use this on the discharge of my new pump, Q85, to recirculate during mashing and cooling the wort. I works great. Recommend buying a couple hose clamps also, even if you just use it on a sparge water heater. The silicon tubing fits snuggly on a 3/8" hose barb, but to be safe I hose clamp the connections.

After considering every option on the market from an auto-sparge to a waterfalling carousel, landed on this simple design. It’s easy to use, easy to clean, affordable, and adaptable. I started with all grain using this setup so I cannot attest to any change in efficiency, but off the bat I’m seeing 75-80%. Yeah you need to watch the water level when fly sparring but you’re brewing, be engaged. Thanks for the great product.

the float ball was not used to distribute sparge water it was used to help clear the beer and it worked well.

The floating ball keeps your sparge water flowing gently at the surface above the grain bed. This assembly is simple to set up and easy to clean.
