Oxidized Mess

Review by D. Hanson on 10/29/2021

Like everyone else who made this wine this year, it is a brown oxidized mess. Looks like apple cider. Unfortunately I got two of these kits for Xmas last year. Will buy elsewhere from now on

Viognier

Review by Ken Miller on 10/29/2021

I started this kit in May of 2021. In June I completed the stabilization and clarification steps but the wine did not clear. I waited until September to see if it would clear on its own. It did not. I repeated the clarification process and it cleared up nicely. Based on taste tests in October, it looks like it will become a very nice wine but with a very high alcohol content (around 15% ABV). I plan to taste again in January 2022 and bottle then if appropriate.

Oxidized Must

Review by Mark on 10/28/2021

Viognier must should be a light straw color and it arrived much darker than that, suggesting it didn’t travel well to Wisconsin or it was mishandled somewhere during production or handling. I decided to proceed anyway and followed the directions. When secondary fermentation was complete and a sample was pulled the oxidation was beyond obvious both in smell and taste. Ended up dumping the entire batch

Smells good- its an orange wine though

Review by Matthew Barnes on 5/4/2020

Ordered 3 of these, in secondary on my first so havent tasted. Surprised its an orange wine. Did the grapes sit on the skins or was this user error?

Way easier than stemming, seeding, crushing.

This is great and simple solution to growing your own grapes. Williams is an outstanding supplier.
