First Wheat Beer! Awesome results

Review by Bob Moore on 7/21/2010

Pros: O.G.-1.052, F.G.-1.016 Used a primary for 6 days, racked to secondary for 5 days. Kegged and drank one of the finest wheat beers I've ever drank period.....This kit is easy and sooooo good. Excellent head retention, not too banana tasting, nice and crisp. I'm impressed and will be brewing this again...no-doubt.

Cons: No cons really - I did have to switch my airlock out with a blow-off tube. Recommend you start with a blow-off because as expected, a wheat beer foams more aggressively during fermentation.

First time ever brewing

Review by Mike B. on 5/9/2010

Pros: Easy to brew for a first brew. Tasted great too. I like wheat beers, and this one suprisingily, I don't want to brag, was what I was looking for.

Cons: Maybe too easy, won't know if I got lucky, or it is hard to screw up. I got a feeling I will find out in tougher brews to come.

Great first homebrew

Pros: Easy to make great tasting beer.

Cons: Keeping enough for myself once my friends tried it.

Awesome beer

Review by Chris on 2/15/2010

Pros: I brewed this last summer and really enjoyed it. Light, just enough honey, very nice.

Cons: It made lots of hydrogen sulfide early on. This didn't appear to affect the end flavor, but the wife didn't appreciate the way the house smelled on day one.

Great first batch

Review by Bryce on 2/7/2010

Pros: I am a wheat beer fan so I chose this kit as my first home brew batch. The flavor is lighter then a normal wheat beer and the flavor is right up there. It turned out great and I could see myself brewing the batch again.

Cons: If you don't like beers with a sweet finish then I wouldn't get this kit. I enjoy the finish but I know there are those who do not.
