Excellent Red Ale

Review by Adolfo S. on 2/14/2010

Pros: I'd been out of brewing for 12 years when I decided to get back in. With the purchase of the brewing set with the kettle, my choice of kit for the come back was this Red Ale. If found the instructions very easy and got through brewing my first batch without problems. It's been two weeks since I bottled and as I write this I'm drinking the first bottle. The color is a beautiful intense red, carbonation is just right, it has a malty aroma and a nice bitterness throughout. I'm very happy with my choice of the American Red Ale and can't wait to taste it after a few additional weeks in the bottle (if it lasts that long!).

Cons: None.

So Easy

Review by Craig H. on 2/13/2010

Pros: This was the first time I brewed. It was SOOO easy. I have definately found a new hobby! Instructions were easy to follow. Had to take a taste before the required aging, and it was fabulous. I will definately brew this one again.

Cons: Are you kidding me? NONE!!!

Williams Red Ale

Review by Martin S. on 2/12/2010

Pros: I've been out of brewing for a few years and, when I decided to take it up again, Williams Red Ale was the choice. It's a basic ale and the kit is easy to brew. Like all Williams kits, the instructions are comprehensive and easy to follow. Everything good so far, and we're into the bottle conditioning phase.

Cons: No cons at all. A suggestion would be addition of hop socks for adding hops with a little less mess, but that's something a brewer can do on his own.
