Surprisingly Good

Review by David G. on 9/11/2007

Pros: Although, I did not lager this beer, it did mellow more as it aged in my dark closet. It has a pleasant subtle fruit flavor without being sweet. It's very refreshing on a hot summer's day. I found it to be a big hit with women.

Cons: My first impression was that this beer was bitter, which became smoother with age. I grew to really enjoy this beer.

Warming up to it

Review by Richard R. K. on 4/27/2007

Pros: I am not a fruity beer drinker, but I have to admit, this beer does grow on you. As it ages in the bottle, it just gets smoother to the palate. I will have to make another batch soon, to allow it to bottle condition at least 12 weeks. My wife would give this a 9 or 10 rating.

Cons: None really. Easy to brew and drink. This one is a keeper, even though I normally don't brew all extract recipes.

Apricot Ale

Review by Ray L on 11/23/2006

Pros: Outstanding taste with a delicate balance between the wheat beer and the apricot flavoring. This is a must have for those who desire a refreshing brew.

Surpisingly good

Review by MurphysIrish on 5/17/2006

Pros: Got it as a gift from my girlfriend so I had to brew it even though I really do not favor fruity beers. Not my bag, baby. However it came out great. If you typically shy away from flavored beers, give this a shot. Trust me. It's not overwhelmingly apricot flavored but just exactly enough to make it a GREAT summertime beer. Easy to brew, too.

Cons: None. Probably one of the better beers I've brewed from William's, but doesn't beat the Red Ale or Belgian Tripel

Better and better

Review by ROBERT R. on 1/14/2006

Pros: For what it's worth, this is my second review of the same batch. After 7 months in the bottle, this ale continues to improve. It's drier now, with slightly less apricot taste...its fruitiness is now almost like the taste of hops in a west coast style pale ale. I'm about to order another kit to make now for drinking this coming summer.
