English Bitter

Pros: I have brewed two batches of the Eng Bitter and more freinds have raved over any of the ales that I have brewed in the last 4 years. I will continue to make and other Williams recipes

Not the Brews fault

Pros: David I must say that I have brewed this beer time and time again and it is always great. Sounds like you probably did not sanitize well and had a bacteria problem. I work for a British company and have never had a complaint from the British folks that have enjoyed this beer at my house on tap. They say that it makes them feel at home. Revisit your brewing process and try again. Williams thank for putting up pros and cons, but I believe that David needs a lesson in sanitizing before making a review on this product. I am sure that Williams offers ice packs when shipping yeast to hot climates. This is a wonderful beer. I do mostly all-grain, but this has to be on of my favorite extract beers. Cheers Bruce S.

A Favorite

Pros: "I don't know what I was expecting, but that's great beer!" Typical comment when I share this brew with friends. Addition of 1 lb.corn sugar gave it a nice, clean bite.

Cons: Can't decide whether it's better at about 55 degrees or well chilled. It is a favorite.

Easy to brew, Easy to Drink

Pros: I nice balance between malt and the hops. Has a nice flora nose.

Cons: It was too easy to drink.

ESB is tasty

Pros: Dear David M. I highly recommend you don't brew beer in 100 dgree weather. Try moving or buy your own yeast. I found this beer to be smooth and satisfying. Very similar to Redhook ESB.

Cons: Not much from here.
