Belgian Strong

Review by RAY on 1/26/2014

I have brewed numerous batches of the belgian triple but this is the first for the belgian dark strong. Absolutely wonderful brew, full of flavor with a smooth finish. Everyone that has tried it has liked it. The only issue is the excessive head of foam on the initial pour. This is definite reorder in the future!

Dark Strong

Review by Jeffrey R on 3/15/2012

This beer kit from Williams is a great beer to sit around the fireplace with to sip and think about all the projects your going to do. it's a beer to consume slowly and let the wonderful flavors roll off your tongue and realize things don't get any better. The dark color is one you just want to look at. Williams has done it again.

Difficult to brew

Review by Tony on 1/15/2012

This was only my 7th batch of beer. There was a couple of issues on this one. 1st boiling 5 gallons of water as the directions call for. I had to keep the lid off most of the boil to stop from boiling over. 2nd this type of beer should have had a yeast starter. The aeration with a pump was not enough. The last problem was the fermentation time, i think it should have been double what the directions said. The beer is tasting like sugar. As I said I am new at brewing so I could have messed up on a couple different stages.

belgian dark strong

Review by Debbie on 12/21/2011

this was our first brew. we served it at a family gathering with adults ranging in age from 22 to 73. everybody liked it, even some who were not beer drinkers. we had some concerns about the brewing process along the way, and the williams crew kept us on track and we made it a hit. We look forward to doing this one again. the directions were easy to follow, although we would like to see a little more printed detail in the instructions about kegging

Everyone loves this recipe

Review by David on 11/19/2011

I'm a fan of dark beers and my brewmaster buddy loves the Belgian quad and triple. We brewed this one 9/17/2011 and kegged it 10/8. Just had a big party where I served various home brews and commercial beers. Absolutely everyone, young, old, male, female could rated this beer their favorite. Even my neighbor who only drinks Tecate (blah) made me put some in a bottle to take home. William's recipes are great and I love quite a few of them, but this one is spectacular. Don't let the word "dark" scare you it is smooth and finishes fabulous. I have not yet found a single person that didn't love it, including the wife and I. (I just got permission to invest more in my brewing!)
