Outstanding Product

Review by Gary L. on 5/9/2010

Pros: Easily allows user to adjust heat. Reaches boiling point quickly. Using the NG valve means you don't have to worry about running out of propane in the middle of a brew session. Stays lit in mild to moderate wind.

Great with 1.5 Caveats

Review by Lance S. on 9/17/2009

Pros: From simmer to heating like the fires of hell - this is a great stove!

Cons: I should have read the description closer - "Simmer" is as cool as this can go. I don't think you can temperature-step mash with this burner... it won't burn cool enough! Unfortunately I bought it for just that reason and now have to come up with Plan B. The "half" caveat is the paint burns off through the first couple uses and smells BAD. Not ideal when you're trying to make uncontaminated beer. Work outside with plenty of fresh air.

efficient, controlled burn

Review by Joby R. on 5/27/2009

Pros: this burner distibutes the heat nicely and has unlimited ranges in flame control from wee flames to not-so-efficient large orange flames. it's also very quiet. my 1/2 barrel keggle just fits on the burner. I was worried it wouldn't when I was ordering. I have used it a total of 10 burning hours on 'medium' heat most of the time and still have a little propane left in the tank. very solid ring burner on top and ring stand on bottom. the conversion to natural gas was a big deciding factor for me on this one.

Cons: paint burns off...but what burner does't? the ring on top makes it a little tricky to set a commercial keg on it but it will set on there just right once you line it up.

Fast Boils!

Review by Trevor K. on 4/24/2009

Pros: Brings around 3 gallons of water (cold tap) to boil in about 15 to 20 minutes. Worth ever cent and shaves off about an hour of brew time!

Cons: Drains the propane tank too fast.

Works great with propane and natural gas

Review by Andrew S. on 4/20/2009

Pros: I bought this specifically to use with natural gas. It works great for natural gas and performs better than expectations. Getting the propane 'parts' with it is a nice bonus because then its still portable for when you brew at a friends without natural gas, just grab your propane tank and go

Cons: None really, other than it's really heavy.
