Home Beermaking

Review by Lary on 4/28/2018

This is a clear, concise introduction to home brewing. Maybe one could write a longer tome on the subject but it would just get complicated. If you read this, you will have good basic knowledge to use your home brewing kit and knock out a good product. Anything else you need to know, you'll learn in the process. Also, it's well indexed so you can look things up easily. Only criticism is that his basic recipes have ingredients that are not readily available at the most common suppliers. This could maybe be upgraded.

This is a great book for beginners and will guide the first timer to successfully making a high quality beer right out of the gate. Highly recommended if you are just starting out.

good book for those starting out in homebrewing

Review by Casey D. on 7/13/2008

Pros: this is a good read for someone who wants to get the lingo of homebrewing down and learn a bit about the history/process of brewing. It does a good job describing the different types of beer and how they are brewed.

Very good information

Pros: This book explains how the Beer is started and finished very well. Even to a intermediate brewer, I still refer back to it for information.

Cons: None

Pros: Perfect book for the beginner. Enough detail and information to get you started. Not too long, not too short, not too wordy. Perfect.

Cons: Needs more pictures.
