This Brewer's Edge product fits standard 3/16" interior diameter fish tank tubing on its hose barb outlet, and has a CGA 540 input (which fits virtually all oxygen welding tanks).  It dispenses from 1/32 to 4 liters per minute of welding oxygen, and for most 5 and 10 gallon home brewing uses, you will set it at 1/8 to 1 liter per minute. Purchase a full or exchange oxygen welding tank with a CGA 540 valve at any welding supply. The advantage of welding oxygen is cost - you can aerate about 300 five gallon batches of wort with one standard 20 cubic foot tank refill.  Not for life support or welding use.

Buy this and our 22" Aeration Wand and make your own oxygen aerating system. Or if you already have our Oxygen Aeration System, this regulator will fit the tubing so you can upgrade with nothing else to buy (except for a full welding oxygen tank). Also available is an optional 3/8" hose barb, see picture at right.

Only lasted 5 years
This Regulator was awesome...for 5 years...then worthless. It seemed to have an O-Ring issue and replacing the O-Rings did not go well. I eventually threw it out. I really thought this item would of lasted longer...sadly, it did not. If you have one and you hear oxygen escaping as soon as you turn on the bottle....best of luck trying to replace the O-Rings.

O2 regulator - works well
Highly cost effective way to use proper industrial O2 bottles. It's great to be able forget about those worthless little box store canisters that barely cover a 10 gallon brew. Cheaper than conventional regulators, and much less expensive than those canisters if you brew more than about 10 times; and you don't always have to wonder if you have enough or have to run out for more. Has performed very well so far. I tried to measure the actual output versus the settings (best I can; I don't have precise calibration tools for this), but my output appears to be a little on the low side, so I just crank it up a little.

Solid Construction
I got tired of purchasing those tiny oxygen tanks at Home Depot for 12 bucks a shot and you never know when it will run out. A 20cf oxygen tank cost me 12 bucks to fill and will last a long time...
This is definitely cheaper in the long run and gives you an infinite amount of control on the release of oxygen in the wort. Much more economical after your initial expense. A solid piece of equipment!

Great product
This is my second time buying this product (it wont stand up to being knocked off a table onto concrete, but who would expect it to?). Coupled with a 5 lb. O2 tank, it has oxygenated hundreds of gallons of wort, and the tank is still only half empty. If you want to cheaply oxygenate your beer, this product and a welding supply O2 tank are the way to go. Waaay cheaper than disposable O2 tanks, in the long run.

Williams comes through again!
I saw at a friends house how well the valve worked for aeration of his wort. I had used a standard oxygen regulator but found it extremely difficult to adjust it as low as i needed it to go. Often getting explosions of bubbles or none at all. Well those days are gone because this little baby works like a charm. Easy to set, well made and a good price. So do yourself a favor and dump the air pump and get a oxygen tank and one of these. Your wort will thank you.

I'd like to connect the discharge from this regulator to a standard 5/16" I.D. vinyl gas tubing. What's the best way to do this? Thanks.
We have a 3/8" hose barb for this regulator but not a 5/16". This would be something you would have to fabricate.

should this have a washer or o-ring for a proper seal?
No, this is a metal to metal seal. Make sure there are no burrs on the oxygen valve on your tank, and shut off the oxygen with the tank valve between uses.

Hi, would this work with the common 1.4oz red oxygen cylinders found at hardware stores?
No, for the 1.4 oz. cylinders you would need our item Q11

What size thread is the barb attached to?
It is M7-1.0. You would need to teflon tape any aftermarket barb.
