William's California Wine Concentrates are made from 100% Central Valley varietal wine grapes, picked at their peak and gently concentrated with minimum heat (never exceeding 180 degrees F.) under vacuum to 68 Brix. Sugar has not been added, nor is sugar needed to make full-bodied varietal wine.

The 119 ounces of concentrate included in each pack is enough to make 3 gallons of wine with an alcohol content of 12 to 14%. Contains sulfiltes, so you do not need to add them before fermentation. Our California Wine Concentrates are also acid balanced, so you do not need to add acid or do an acid titration test (unless you want to).

Malbec is a grape that originated in Argentina, now grown in the Lodi area of California. It produces a very full-bodied red wine with less tannins than Cabernet.

Nothing extra needed
This is the first time I am making wine without adding sugar, so all you need to do is to add yeast. I expect great results. Malbec is my favorite wine so I am looking forward to seeing the final product of a few great bottles of wine.

Do I need to add any sugar for 2.5 gallons
No, just mix the concentrate with water as per the directions, and you will get a full bodied wine with an alcohol level of about 14%.
