Works as intended
Digital VS dial thermometer takes the guesswork out of the equation. The Brewers Friend Mash and Boil lid provides an appropriate size hole for the probe. Only one use as of yet but worked great.

Does what it says
I have a number of the smaller CDN's and wanted something with a longer stem that was also fast to read mash temps. This does the trick. It is a couple seconds slower to read than the smaller version, but it gets down into the middle of the mash better. Another solid instrument by CDN at a good price.

Good thermometer
I dropped my other one in the mash and drowned it. This one is more sturdy and I don't have to worry about getting it wet.

I also wiped it with alcohol and checked my fermentation temperature. I used the beer that dripped off the thermometer to check the gravity using my refractometer.

Just OK
Nothing special but the device is serviceable. My only negative experience was that it did not work well as a submersible thermometer. After 15 minutes in the mash the display was unreadable and the plastic interface bubbled up. Eventually after cooling it returned fully functional but I would not recommend submersing it as stated in the description.

My positive experiences with the product is that it was very easy to calibrate and takes a very quick reading.
