Description

This stainless cooling coil is 4 1/2" wide and 27" long, and fits a variety of fermenters, including the Fermzilla by KegLand. Note that you will need to cut the pipes with a tubing cutter to get it to fit the smaller 27 liter Fermzilla. The hole diameter needed for the tubing bulkheads is 7/8" or 22mm. These holes can be easily cut with our Step Drill, item C67.

The stainless tubing itself is 9.8mm (.37") in diameter, and Duotight bulkheads are included to attach the pipes to your fermenter lid. You can also attach 3/8" tubing with hose clamps if desired to the tubing ends to run your cooling or heating water.

How far apart should the two holes be set for the temp twister if setting in a lid other than the KegLand product with pre-set spacing?

Is there a trick to getting this into the kegmenter? I drilled out a lid and got that all set but then noticed the coil was too wide. Am I missing something?
It is 4.5" wide, which is too wide for the Kegmenter lid.

Re: my previous question My concern was that the coils might obstruct the placement of the thermowell. Not the case? Also, would the thermowell be placed in such close proximity to the coils that it would give inaccurate temperature measurements?
That is a valid concern. The thermowell will be in very close proximity to the coils and could give you a temperature reading lower than the actual temperature of liquid being cooled.
