Description  more details

This patented conversion kit from Brewer's Edge will add a leak-free nickel-plated brass ball valve to any pot in which you drill a 7/8" (22mm) hole with a metal-rated holesaw or step drill (hole saw not included, see our item B33). It features 1/2" female NPT threads on the outlet, and 3/8" NPT female threads on the inside to attach the Brewer's Edge KettleScreen model R49.

Features a holding groove on the outside of the valve for the silicone washer, preventing it from spreading when the inner pot nut is tightened. See below for the optional KettleScreen to fit this valve. US patent No. 8,191,569.

Click here for a pdf of KettleValve installation instructions.

This shows the end of the KettleValve that goes into the pot, with the patented recessed O ring feature and the 3/8" NPT thread that will protrude from the inside of the pot, allowing the the installation of the Brewer's Edge KettleScreen.

Can't Weld? No Problem.
I've used these on a hot liquor tank and brew kettle for probably thirty batches of beer. They always work flawlessly and I've never had a leak.

will this work in a Gott Cooler?
We do not have a Gott cooler to test it on, so we cannot say for sure. If the hole on the cooler is 7/8", then there is a good chance it will work.
