This Italian made grape crusher (it will not crush harder fruit like pears and apples) fits on top of a bin or bucket with its four rails, and features a 304 grade stainless hopper that is 16" by 16" in size at the top. Put grapes into the hopper and turn the crank to crush before pressing the pulp with a fruit press. Stems need to be removed before crushing. Driven by a hand crank and features nylon gears and nylon crushing rollers.

The rollers are 3.5" wide, and 8.5" long, and turn on a 3/4" diameter hollow steel shaft.  The gap between the rollers is approximately 1/8" of an inche wide, and not adjustable. The rails are 32" long, and 12" wide. Height from the bottom of the rails to the top of the hopper (not including the hand crank) is 13".

Leaves a bit to be desired

Review by Vlady on 8/16/2017

I purchased this item, and found that the construction of this crusher was of poor quality. Firstly, I had to correct the gear placement, as the teeth were misaligned and sifted extremely far apart. Secondly, there is a very large gap between the rollers and the lip of the hopper that allows for significant amounts of grapes to simply fall through. Lastly, the edges of the hopper were poorly machined and extremely sharp.

Great deal, well engineered

Works as advertised. Well built, clean construction. Great price. Bought 2 to combine with a motor (also sold by William's) and built into a motorized crusher.

Q: Re item198-Are there manufacturer's instructions for cleaning and sanitizing parts contacting must? Do you have recommendations for cleaning/sanitizing? Can the rollers and shafts be removed for cleaning? Are replacement parts available from manufacturer?

A: There are no instructions but they are pretty simple. The rollers and shafts can be removed but we do not recommend it. We offer a one year warranty, and if you buy it from us, we will provide parts after the warranty period.
