Description

The patented Intertap faucet is made of solid stainless steel, and features a shuttle seal design, which means the body of the faucet remains full of beer at all times.    Because the faucet stays full of beer at all times, it does not get sticky as the mechanism never has a chance to dry out and/or get contaminated. Fits all beer shanks.

The Intertap is the most versatile faucet made because it also features an exclusive threaded spigot, which removes to convert the Intertap into a Growler Filler or Stout Faucet with just the installation of a new spigot (sold separately). Convert the Intertap into a Growler Filler that accepts ½" tubing by just buying a Intertap Growler Adapter, or convert it into a Stout Faucet by purchasing an InterTap Stout Adapter. No other faucet system gives you this versatility.

The Intertaps innovative shuttle seal design means it has a more positive forward seal than other forward seal faucets. US Patents US6457614, US6626420, and US7077299    This is the latest Generation 2 Intertap.

Seems well designed
I got one of these to give it a try as the reviews were mixed. The one I got is working great. No issues yet after about a month of use. It does operate a lot more smoothly than the traditional "Tap Rite" style faucet. it does not get sticky as the mechanism never has a chance to dry out and/or get contaminated. I'll probably replace my other three faucets with these, as needed.

Great Tap
I got one of these back in 2016. It has done well for me. I had it on my 6 tap tower from Micromatic. I replaced it a couple of years ago because I finally replaced all of the taps with Perlick (uniformity). So it sat in the beer parts bin for a while. I decided to take it out and use it on my kegerator I was rebooting. BUT.... it won't seal up to the shanks I have. The shanks on my kegerator are from beverage factory, I think they're Kegco brand. The locking collar doesn't pull the tap in far enough to seal, and it isn't just my shank. I took the part to the local brew store and their shanks wouldn't work either.

So, if you run into this issue I think if you put a wire ring behind the locking nut to make it sit back a hair it should work. Or just buy an intertap shank. It's a bit of a bummer I couldn't repurpose my tap... I'll just save it for another project.

Great Faucets
These things are great. Had four on one fridge and picked up four more for a different fridge. They never leak and come apart completely to be deep cleaned. The added attachments are great too. Use the ball lock fitting for easy keg to keg transfers and bottling with the beergun (just make sure you keep them clean)

problems with 2 out of three
Replaced 3 "other" brand stainless faucets with Intertap flow control faucets. Please don't waste your time. Now this is a draft set up i"ve had for years, running three lines from commercial kegs. One consistently pours straight foam, as if i had the stout adapter on it.
the second tap leaks, will not shut completely off. the third one works ok. Definately a waste of time and money. I have switched back to my very reliable Perlick faucets.

Intertap SS is Dabomb
I did a lot of research when I setup my kegerator. EVERYTHING I read said SS faucets were just SO much better - they don't corrode, they're easier to keep clean, and the forward-sealing design keeps them from gumming up and stopping.
So it was going to be Perlick for me, then I found out about INTERTAP. For about a third less they seemed like a great alternative - and they got high marks. I could not be happier with mine - I got four of them - they are everything they are cracked up to be!

And now I realize why we need SS taps - when you tap beer the ice cold beer chills the tap on the outside and any moisture in the air condenses on the tap. So they're 'wet' quite a bit - if not for SS you can expect corrosion to set in not very far down the road. It was SO worth it to get all SS taps. They work just killer too.

Are the spouts the same thread size as the Perlick 425?
We are not sure, we do not have an old Perlick 425 to test this with.
