This stainless spring converts an Intertap Faucet which is attached to an Intertap Shank to self closing. The wide end installs in the Intertap Shank, and the narrow end fits the Intertap Faucet inner seal, keeping it closed unless pressure is applied to the Intertap Faucet handle.

Works only with Intertap Faucets when installed on Intertap Shanks. When installing this in a Intertap Faucet/Intertap Shank pair, you may need to loosen the bonnet nut a bit on the Intertap Faucet to free it so will move back and forth easily.

Important note: This works with all Intertap Faucets except their Flow Control model. This does not work with any Keg Faucets, only faucets mounted on Intertap brand shanks.

No Intertap Faucet Should Be Without This Spring!
My wife bought me a 3-tap Kegerator a couple of years ago from Williams as a wonderful Christmas present. But neither of us knew about these springs. They push a faucet that is pulled forward to the open or flow position back to the closed position. Without the spring one may accidentally bump or tap one of the faucets causing beer to flow until the keg is exhausted. That can be a lot of beer lost to the floor and worse into carpeting! After two such accidents, a fellow home brewer told me about these springs. They install easily and work perfectly. Get them if you have Intertap faucets!

Very nice tap
Everything you need to set up a tap on your keizer. Easy install, forward sealing taps never stick.

Works for my Perlick 525
The spring is 2 1/2 inches long, which looked like it would be too long to work in my older Perlick 525 faucet. However, in order to work the spring needs to be compressed, and this actually worked well. It stopped the very slow drip that I had. It took a couple minutes to kind of jam it on, and then thread the faucet. It's a two-hand operation, that would be easier with two people.

I bought these springs even though I do not have the Intertap shanks. I figured at less than two buck each, what's the loss. They were, of course, too long. However with a little cutting (about 1/2 - 3/4 of an inch) with a grinding wheel, they fit and work just fine. Would I buy them again, absolutely.

Is there a spring made for the flow control faucets?

How long is this spring? I have a shallow chamber in a 4" Krome shank. Needs to be 5/8 to 3/4" long.
It is 2 3/4" long

Does this work with your Q79 faucet adapter?
No, only with Intertap Shanks

has anyone tried these with the Intertap Faucet and a different companies shank?
Yes, and they do not work. The intertap shanks have a large shallow concave area to fit the spring and other shanks do not.
