Kenya AA is our highest grade of Kenya, and has a full body, delicate acidity, and a very smooth winey flavor. Kamwangi is one of the two factories run by the New Ngariama Cooperative Society in Central Kenya, on the slopes of Mt. Kenya. An outstanding example of a rich and smooth Kenya coffee. Highly recommended.

One of the best Kenyas ever!

Review by Benjamin M. D. on 12/2/2005

Pros: Rich chocolaty note when roasted to medium dark. Not too much acidity. My friends are CRAZY about this coffee!

My Favorite

Review by Julie F. on 7/11/2008

Pros: I have ordered about 8 different kinds of green coffee and this is absolutely my favorite. I roast it dark and oily, but not black. Very rich!

Cons: No cons

excellent first roasting experience

Review by Michael W. on 4/27/2009

Pros: I roast in a cast iron frying pan; the beans roasted up well, give them a week or so to age, the coffee is good within a day, but gets better over time.

Good all by itself

Kenya AA Gakundu makes a good medium to medium dark roast and is delicious and sweet alone or to blend with the Vietnamese robusta.

Under roasted first batch

Review by Norm on 1/24/2018

This Coffee is almost tea like, if pulled out just before second crack. It is vary very smooth. So if you have tea drinkers in the family, pick this bean, under roast and after a few days resting you will have something for them they may like. I have done a second batch to a darker roast (just starting to get shinny) Hope it comes out with a bit more coffee flavor.
