This twin roller mill with aluminum hopper holds 7 pounds of grain, and features two 5" by 1¼" knurled rollers. It will crush your grain evenly for the best mash and runoff.

Rollers are gap-adjustable at both ends with the provided phillips screw calibration screws. The default gap is set at .039", but you can adjust it in the range of .015" to .070" inch. The steel rollers are machined to efficently grab the kernels and pull them through the mill. The detachable handcrank can be removed to install an electric drill. Using a 3/8" drill at 500 rpm gives you a crush rate of 6 pounds per minute.

12" tall hopper, and the board mount is 12" by 12". The included particle board mount is designed to fit on top of a 5 or 6 gallon plastic pail. Click on the More Info link above to see a photo of the bottom of this mill.

Assembly required, you will need to screw the hopper together with the included machine screws and attach the mill to the included base board with two included screws.

For barley malt only, not for use with corn.

Great bargain

Review by Jon on 5/16/2014

I purchased this mill, but was skeptical because of the price. It turned out to be just great. It did take some assembly and didn't come with any helpful paperwork or procedures, but I hade it together in no time. Smooth operation and the adjustment screws for the adjustable roller has lock nuts which is a plus so it stays set where you want it.

Good but not great

Review by Thomas on 5/24/2014

I have brewed about half a dozen of beers with great success. On occasion the slave roller has not started and I have to manually start it by pulling on it. So, one minus point for this. The rollers are adjustable. Get yourself a set of spark plugs measures, the blade type, to set the gap. Having set the gap right will help in getting it to work properly. I have only been using this manually, with the included crank, not tried to run it from the drill. This works great. As a plus, I put this on top of my 5 gallon cooler that I use for mashing and grind the grains right into it. Work great.

Price is right, excellent mill.

If you've ever assembled anything ever, this is a piece of cake to put together. I have but did not bother using a drill, because it just wasn't necessary. I would highly recommend getting a spark plug gap gauge so you can gap it appropriately. You can just eyeball it too though if you know what a good crush is supposed to look like. I did both, and am really happy with the results. It does take a little messing around with to get it right and get the gap even all the way across but it isn't hard. For $99, I honestly couldn't have asked for a better product. Couple that with flat rate shipping and good luck finding a better deal on a quality product. I have not attempted to run this with a drill just yet, but I also don't have any issues milling ~20lbs of grain while my strike water heats up. Your mileage may vary on that one though. Wouldn't be hard to hook up to a drill if so desired.

Best mill ever

Priced right works better than one used by my local brew store!!

Nice Basic Mil

Plan to put this thing together in advance of your brew day. It might take a little longer than you might expect, especially peeling off the blue covering. The instructions were helpful and the suggestion to use a credit card to measure the gap to get started worked out perfectly for me, and I hit my numbers right off the bat.
