Five Star Chemicals has been PBW for years for home brewers, and have now come out with convenient tablets. Their approach is twofold; the brewer first uses Powdered Brewery Cleaner to remove deposits from equipment, and then uses Star San, a professional grade soaking sanitizer, to sanitize the cleaned equipment. Both PBW and Star San are safe for limited contact use with stainless steel, plastic, copper, brass, and ceramics, and are safe for septic systems. Jar of 50 tablets.
These 2.5 gram tablets are sized to be diluted in 32 ounces of hot water, for growlers, spray bottles, glassware, and other small items.
Instructions for use:
Fill container with water at temperatures ranging from 100 to 140 degrees F.
Drop in tablet at a dosage rate prescribed on label.
Dissolve tablet completely in solution
Soak equipment for 30 minutes or more. Use a brush as needed to further dislodge soils. Heavy soil loads may require overnight soaking.
Rinse with water that is the same temperature as the PBW solution water.
