Our new KegLand stainless steel 2½ gallon kegs have two ball-lock male quick disconnect fittings that hold pressure even when not connected, allowing you to have several kegs aging while one is tapped. This keg is only 14½" tall, the shortest ball lock keg on the market (not to be confused with taller 3 gallon kegs). Precisely made with smooth robotically welded interior welds for ease of cleaning. 8½" wide. Made in China.
Features a 3 by 3.5" oval lid for easy cleaning, and a pressure relief lid mounted valve for safety. An exclusive stainless hang tab is welded inside the lid to make it easy for you to suspend dry hopping bags, etc. 14½" tall, and 8½" wide.

Q: I notice the lid is a different size than the standard 5 gallon keg. Is the pressure relief valve the same as a standard 5 gallon keg?
A: The lid on this keg is a standard keg lid size, the same as the 5 gallon lid size. The pressure release valve is also standard and the same size as the 5 gallon keg.

Q: Where are these kegs manufactured?
A: In China to NSF (National Sanitary Foundation) standards.

Compact, portable
Pros: These are light and portable, and they attract interest and questions from everyone who's been lugging their 5 gal kegs around to whatever event you're at. Great for small parties and outdoor events because these fit completely inside some ice chests. If you ever grimaced at bringing a whole 5-gal keg to a party, this is a great alternative, since it uses the same fittings and equipment as other pin-lock kegs.
Cons: The newer ones lately seem to need some keg lube on the lid O-ring to get a good seal (or just pressure it up fast to force-seal it). For a five gallon batch, these kegs are obviously a bit pricey, so I'd recommend using a mix of these and 5-gal kegs if you keep a lot of beer around.
2.5 gallon ball lock keg
Pros: This keg is very well made. It comes in very handy when you want to share some beer with a couple of people. The small CO2 units make it very portable. Everywhere I have taken this, everyone is impressed. It's nice to take on vacation to have a couple of beers at the end of the day.
Cons: None.
2 1/2 Gallon New Ball Lock Corneliu Type Keg
Pros: This is a very well made keg. It's small size make it easy to clean and carry around. It's small size also make it great for use with CO2 cartridges.
Cons: A little pricey for its size.
2.5 gal ball loock keg - great for batch splitting
Pros: Great quality keg for batch splitting and aging/conditioning. Also use it for taking a weekend's worth of beer when traveling (fit's in a standard fridge...)
Cons: none - you get what you pay for. This is the real deal, made in Italy.
Great kegs
Pros: Excellent size for splitting batches and these fit in refrigerators/picnic coolers without taking up too much space; high quality; delivered 36 hours after I placed the order - great customer service
Cons: Price - these kegs were almost $40 cheaper (new) a few years ago; but it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to find used kegs in this or the 3-gal size; so yes, the price is steep, but for an excellent new product that has years (decades!) of life, it is still pretty reasonable.
