IMPORTANT NOTICE: When using this vessel under pressure. You must perform a water pressure check to ensure your connections are leak proof. To do this. Fill your FermZilla up with water, then apply a minimum of 15psi pressure to the vessel. Occasionally these units may come with some small indentations/dimples/dents from shipping, this is just a reality of shipping large blow-moulded thin-walled vessels. But dont panic, these fermenters are designed to endure minor deformations such as this. All small dents will push out and settle with use and positive pressure and are only an issue and warrant replacement in the rare event they start to show white stress patterns.
Maximum temperature is 130 degrees F., if you pour boiling or near boiling wort into this unit, you will ruin it, and heat damage is not covered by warranty.

Q: A question from the less experienced, why pressurize the fermenter?
A: Many reasons, ferments under pressure can produce a smoother flavor and reduce esters. When done fermenting, the beer is carbonated. Probably best to use a search engine and see a more thorough explanation.

Fermzilla
The lid that came with it had a leak and I couldn't get any pressure. Williams Brewing replaced my lid and thebeer I had brewing turned out excellent. Very clean, crisp taste. Ready to drink much sooner than other fermentors i have used.
Disassembly Painful
Pro: I purchased the conical fermzilla and made a great beer. Con: The fermzilla is so painful to take apart that I can't successfully do it. Making it useless for future brews. William's Brewing responds: Sorry to hear of this. Have you watched the assembly video below? https://youtu.be/VH3-sqnGcLY Also, note that the threads are reverse on the bottom dump valve, and you need to press the dump valve towards the cone firmly to compress the conical rubber washer so the reverse threads will catch. Any more problems with this, please contact customer service at 800-759-6025 or email to service@williamsbrewing.com and we will assist.
Best Conical On A Budget
I wanted to improve my ferment game at minimal overhead. I got this with the pressurized kit and had a great result with my first brew. An nice improvement cut be telling me, with arrows, which way each part turns (counter-clockwise vs clockwise). I like how you can see what’s going on, and if concerned with UV light, I simply cover with a towel.
More than expected
Even though I've been more than 7 years watching videos about home brewing, it was until last year I begun crafting my own home beer. I used HDPE buckets for fermenting in my past 15 brews batches. But using now the fermzilla, was a big change in my fermenting/resting process. Lot of things to do that couldn't do before with common buckets. I also ordered the pressure kit, hope to use it soon and try pressure fermenting and pressurised transfers. I miss read the description and ordered also an extra collector jar and an extra handle. Lot of things to try now with this new way for fermenting and looking forward to get another one to replace my fermenting buckets. Recommended even for beginners like me.
Worth the money!
The Fermzilla Conical Fermenter is great because it is very easy to use, clean, and it is well-made. However, what makes it excellent is the addition of the spunding valve and fermenting under pressure. Living in Florida, temperature regulation without a dedicated refrigeration unit is very difficult and my brews suffered from off tastes. Williams had a sale on the FermZilla conical unit and when I read about the spunding valve and brewing under pressure I decided to give it a try. The fermenter and the valve have worked magic for me! I can safely and easily brew under pressure (although it took some practice to fully master the valve) and I can transfer from the fermenter to the keg with pressure as well. No more off tastes because my ales are happy under pressure at the usual 76 degrees in my house and no contamination because I am transferring from fermenter to keg with CO2. Truly excellent and useful tools in my brewing toolbox!
