Description 

Gypsum is added to the boil to increase water hardness and acidity, encouraging clearer beer by facilitating the coagulation of unstable malt protein and the sedimentation of yeast. One teaspoon of our Food Grade Gypsum (3.2 grams) will raise the total water hardness of 5 gallons of water by approximately 164 ppm.
