If you are looking to an alternative to cutting tubing and pressing it over hose barbs with hose clamps, with the resultant difficulty in dissassembly, you might find the DuoTight System interesting. Based on O ring sealed push in fittings, DuoTight allows easy repeated hose attachment and removal, as well as EVABarrier lined odorless tubing that costs no more than economy PCV tubing.

DuoTight features a patented dual O ring sealing system using high quality EPDM o-rings. The double o-ring means DuoTight have twice the sealing surface surface when compared with other push in fittings. This makes DuoTight even more reliable and reduces the chance of a leak. The double o-ring system also means that you can bend the hose with much tighter radius without causing leaking issues.

Clamps are not needed. To use the DuoTight System, simply cut your EVABarrier tubing to length (cut tubing square for best results, not at an angle), and push into the DuoTight fitting. To remove the tubing, simply press back on the sealing flange and pull the hose out. EVABarrier Hose and DuoTight fittings are rated up to 100 PSI.

This fitting features a ¼" Female Flare for attaching to threaded ball and pin lock fittings, or any male ¼" flare, such as the outlet of a gas regulator.

The fitting seals tight without teflon tape when using plastic ball and pin locks, but you will need to wrap stainless male flare threads is a bit of teflon tape to get them to seal before threading these on.

Compatible with: - EVABarrier 4mm ID x 8mm OD line (item Z91)
                          - EVABarrier 5mm ID x 8mm OD line (item Z92)

These are NOT Duotight
The pictures indicate that these fittings have 2 o-rings and they do not. The fittings that i received are John Guest brand and only have 1 o-ring. These fittings tend to leak which is why Duotight specifically designed their fittings to have 2 o-rings, just like in the picture of the product. This is frustrating because I've completely redesigned my system. I didn't realize this until after I threw away my old beer line. I can't send these back until I can find the actual Duotight replacements.

William's Brewing Responds: As per the description, these are currently British made John Guest Fittings. They should not leak, please contact us at 800-759-6025 or service@williamsbrewing.com and we will send replacements for any leakers. John Guest are the original fittings, and during this virus induced shipping delay from China, we do not have the Duotight brand, so we are shipping these.

All duotight in a new kegerator
Used all duotight fittings in a new kegerator build. Unfortunately I had two of these fittings crack in the middle on a gas distribution manifold. Hand tightened and only about another 1/2 turn with wrench on all fitting connections. All were holding pressure initially but after changing a keg from 20 psi to 12 psi, the connector started to leak. Changed to swivels on the gas manifold. I have these fittings on ball lock connectors for gas and liquid and on shank connector with no issues.

1 in 6 started leaking after 3 days of use
Bought 6 for gas. Worked ok and then one started leaking in the middle. First time I used them for gas. Will try replacing them with John Guest fittings, and if these ones leak too, will go back to traditional methods for the gas side.
On the liquid side, they work as expected for now.

Just bought a bunch of these to use on gas and liquid ball lock disconnects and a 5 valve manifold purchased from your site- do you recommend using a nylon flare washer on any or all of those connections? How about Teflon tape on the threads? Thanks!
No, generally they seal fine if you go hand tight and then turn 1/4 turn with a wrench. Telfon tape might be needed in some situations.

Are these compatible with 5/16" OD lines such as ultra?
They should be compatible as 8mm and 5/16 are both 0.31 of an inch.
