Do you want to get everything you need to start mashing and distilling at a savings? This package features the distilling ready Brewer's Edge® Mash & Boil with Mashing Basket, as well as the pure copper Kegland Pot Still Condenser, a quick disconnect Cooling Hose Kit, as well as the KegLand Distilling Parrot with Alcometer for monitoring your run. Get it all in this package and save $71.00 over separate purchase prices. A pot still is best for brown spirits like Bourbon, Whiskey, Rum, and Tequilla, as it does not remove the flavor of the wash from the final distillate.

Unlike the Digiboil, the Mash & Boil features precise digital temperature control with 1000 and 1600 watt settings, so in addition to setting the target temperature, you can also vary the intensity of the electric heat to allow for a slower temperature rise from the start of the run at 173° F to the end at about 204° F. This slow rise in the temperature of the boil results in the smoothest possible spirit, and maximizes yield.

To monitor your run, the solid stainless KegLand Distilling Parrot is included with an Alcometer Hydrometer that floats as the run progresses, giving you a real time alcohol strength reading from start to finish. This is vital as you need to know when to stop your run, typically when the distillate drops to 35% to 40% alcohol.

You will need to run cold water through the condensing column while your one hour (or so) run is in progress. Our Cooling Connection kit with 20' of hose and quick disconnect hose fittings is included for this, and has a female garden hose thread inlet so you can get cooling water from any garden hose style faucet.

A Mashing Basket is included so you can also create washes from barley and or corn mashes.

Includes:

B27 Mash & Boil with Basket and Distilling Ready Lid

C74 KegLand Pot Distilling Column

Q74 Cooling Hose Connection Kit

C95 Distilling Parrot

Mash and Boil Pot still package

Review by MICHAEL on 12/1/2019

Overall, got the job done. Instructions were not very detailed. The Mash and Boil unit didn't have a "Run Time" option, as implied in the instructions. Wish the cord was longer. I think the basket should have perforations on the sides, instead of just on the bottom. Water intake and output on the top of condenser were a little awkward, I think on the underside or out to the sides would have been easier to work with. But it did get the job done, and I think it is a good value!

Amazing brew kettle

I love this thing. First batch of beer went smooth. Haven’t distilled anything yet. Great product

Great Equipment

Review by Michael on 12/12/2018

After a delay because of a shipping issue, Williams delivered the still. Operated several times in the past few weeks, and it is a stellar addition to my brew room. I have not brewed beer in it yet because as a still it is way too much fun. Beer is soon, though, and I look forward to a vastly simplified brewing process with this working in brewing mode.

Pot still package

Review by Don on 10/11/2018

The first run with 6 gallons of wine I got over a gallon of nice cognac. Use the 1600 watt setting to do initial warm up then down to 1000 watts for the run. Heats up too fast otherwise. Quality of the product seems excellent.

Q: Is this the new model with the handle on the side of the bottom and the rubber feet? Like what is shown in the kit without the mash and boil? Also is it 110 volt.

A: This is 110 volt and does not have a handle on its side, only two handles on the top.
