Five Star Chemicals has been producing cleansers for commercial breweries for some time, and has now packaged their cleaning technology into home brewing sized packages. Their approach is twofold; the brewer first uses Powdered Brewery Cleaner to remove deposits from equipment, and then uses Star San, a professional grade soaking sanitizer, to sanitize the cleaned equipment.   Both PBW and Star San are safe for limited contact use with stainless steel, plastic, copper, brass, and ceramics, and are safe for septic systems.

This eight pound jar of PBW will make up to 72 gallons of dilute scrubbing cleanser (should be used in combination with Star San, a non-rinsing Sanitizer).

cleanser and spot remover Par Excellence!
The Five Star Cleanser is the best for cleaning lines, bottles, kegs, really everything you can think of.
We discovered that its the best spot and ground in dirt remover for clothes. Use the same proportions you'd use clean your glass wear, but the stained clothing item in to soak. Forget it for a couple of days and then wash as usual. This works where no commercially available spot remover will.

The best for SS pots and alot of other things around the house
This is the best for cleaning our brew pots or any SS Brewing Equiptment. I even use it on my SS grates on my grill and pots and pans. The Owner/Develpoer of the product will even answer any direct questions Via email.

Fantastic Cleaner
Pros: PBW tears up ANYTHING. I had this nasty fryer pot that'd had grease in it for years and was just disgusting. Let it soak overnight in PBW and it was totally clean.

Cons: You need to rinse it off with the same temperature water as it is. No idea why that is, but it won't come clean without. It leaves a slick feeling if you don't rinse it off, it's pretty heavy stuff.
