Description  more details

Fermenator all-stainless steel conical fermenters eliminate the need to transfer beer or wine from a primary to a secondary. You can dump trub and yeast sediment without transferring the beer, easily sample the wort, harvest yeast, and, unlike simple conicals, the rotating racking arm lets you siphon out completely sediment free beer.

The Fermenator features a completely smooth, weld-free interior that eliminates the possibility of welding cracks or pits harboring bacteria. The leg mounting bolts are welded to the outside of the cone, with an exclusive welding process that leaves no trace on the smooth interior. In addition, the Fermenator features weld-free removable stainless steel fittings and valves, sealed by an easily replaceable O ring (several spares included). Unlike welded-on fittings, all parts can be removed and soaked in iodophor sanitizer between batches for a very thorough cleaning.

All Fermenators features a sturdy stainless lid with a seal that withstands up to 7 psi for C02 pumping of the beer, very handy when you want to get your beer out of a chest freezer. One person can lift the this 7 gallon Fermenator (for 5 gallons of wort). The lid is solid stainless steel, with a secure silicone sealing gasket , and adjustable lid tension for positive sealing. The lid features an airlock hole that fits a #7 stopper (airlock and stopper included). An exclusive access hatch is also included in the lid, letting you add dry hops, finings, or fruit without removing the entire cover. Optional leg extensions allow you to elevate the Fermenator for easy keg filling. The standard legs feature plastic pads to avoid scratching counter tops and refrigerators.

The exclusive low profile Fermentor design avoids unnecessary protrusions, and is made to fit in standard refrigerators easily. See the dimensions at right to see how much refrigerator space you will need. Get a spare refrigerator and a William’s Controller to make a temperature-controlled fermenter at an economical price. We believe the Fermenator offers the best value in a no-compromise, high quality conical fermenter. Everything needed is included, and all components are of food grade stainless steel. Nylon hose barbs are included to adapt both valves to 3/8” or 5/16” diameter tubing.

This 7 gallon size fits into a refrigerator that is 17" wide, 16" deep, and 29" tall. The exclusive swing out handles make the Fermentator line of conical fermenters the lowest profile in the industry.

* DROP SHIPPING: Fermenators ship by ground shipping to the 50 states only. Allow 3 weeks for delivery, as these are shipped direct from the manufacturer. No air shipment. A signature is required upon delivery, please make sure you provide an address where a signature can be obtained.

A rotating interior racking arm is standard equipment. This works like a rotating siphon tube inside your fermenter, and allows you to rotate it downwards just enough to rack sediment free beer into your priming tank or keg. Nylon hose barbs are included in 3/8" and 5/16" diameters to screw into both valves.

If your conical fermenter did not have this feature, you would have to transfer from the bottom of the cone, where yeast sediment inevitably builds up (no matter how steep the walls of the conical are).

I've been brewing for 20 years and this was the best money I ever spent. My beer went from tasting like a decent homebrew to tasting like a tap at your local pub. I think it is easier to clean thoroughly than a carboy or bucket and the quality of the workmanship is outstanding. If you are serious about brewing, this is the only way to go.

7 Gallon Femenator!!! Many Stars
Pros: Have had the 7 gallon for about 15 batches and love it!!

Cons: Need to make sure you drain off the dead yeast, hops, etc it the first 36 hours. Also found it was heavy to lift when full but I solved the problem!! Purchased a hydraulic motorcycle lift on ebay so I can now get the femenator from 7" to 38" off the ground with a couple of pumps of my feet! No back breaking lift and cleaning of pumps.

7 Gallon Conical Fermentor is a DREAM!
Pros: Collecting samples for gravity measurements is a snap. Collecting yeast for propogation or for kraeusening for bottling is easy to do while maintaining a sterile environment. This fermentor has greatly increased my ability to brew "consistant" batches of homebrew.

Cons: Cleaning and prep time compared to a glass carboy or plastic bucket is longer..but worth it. The first time I used it I was swearing...but I learned from that experience and every brew since has been a dream. RDWHAHB

Worth the money
Pros: Some homebrewers I know have started out with good intentions of brewing but fizzle out after a batch or 2 but if you've been brewing for more than a couple years and can stick with it this fermenator is well worth the money. Being Stainless Steel it should last a lifetime and then some unlike the plastic bucket fermentors.

Cons: Sanitizing and putting the 2 valves On and Off before and after fermenting is a little more work than the plastic bucket fermentor valve but is a small price to pay for a quality product that is produced.

7 gallon conical is great addition to home brewery
Pros: The removal of trub is simple using the bottom valve. I've also been able to harvest the yeast sediment easily. Easy to set up, use and clean!

Cons: You can't see the little microbes performing their magic (unless you've got x-ray vission.)
