Description  more details

This carbide tipped 22mm (.86") hole saw is perfect for drilling holes in stainless steel pot for valve installation. A 22mm hole is perfect for ½" bulkhead type fittings. This does a better job in stainless than the saw tooth type hole saws sold at most hardware stores.

We recommend a strong corded drill or drill press when using this tool, and safety glasses must be worn. See the picture above for the caution about inserting the drill bit into the tool (if you do not do this, the drill bit will start spinning, and may spoil your first hole attempt).

This shows the end of the KettleValve that goes into the pot, with the patented recessed O ring feature and the 3/8" NPT thread that will protrude from the inside of the pot, allowing the the installation of the Brewer's Edge KettleScreen.

Easy does it
Does the job. My advice:

1) Drill a pilot hole first.
2) Use lots of lubricant.

I used a drill press, but it should work with a properly-sized hand drill. You will need to file down the edges of the hole when you're done. Add a kettle valve, and you turn an inexpensive 7-gal pot into a much more useful tool.
