WILLIAM'S WATERMELON ALE Description
|
Unlike the cold of Winter which tends to increase one's appreciation of strong, full-flavored beers, the heat of Summer is more conducive to a refreshing beer with a lower alcohol content. With this in mind, we have developed William's Watermelon Ale, a wheat beer accented with a touch of natural watermelon flavor. This is a light wheat beer (alcohol about 3.8%) with a touch of natural watermelon flavor added just before bottling. Ideal for Summer drinking, especially if served in a tall glass and garnished with a slice of watermelon. Alcohol: 3.8%, IBU's 25.
Includes 6 pounds of our blended wheat malt extract (60% wheat and 40% pale malt), flavoring hops, natural watermelon flavoring, liquid wheat yeast, and corn sugar for carbonation. Makes 5 gallons with a starting gravity of at least 1.040. Ease of brewing: Beginner

This beer was one of the best so far. I was impressed by how great it tastes and the fact that I only had to wait about 2 weeks for the secondary fermentation. Everyone that has tried this beer loves it.

I also fought the plastic bag. I had the best luck tossing the bag into hot water before opening it up.
